Bigs & Littles develop their friendship through monthly outings. A Match Support Specialist will communicate with the Parent(s), Little and Big every month.
"Since becoming a Big, I now see the world through a different lens. I’ve learned to be more appreciative of my own life and have met other amazing Bigs along the way."
"What I like about my Big Brother, Conor, is how well we connected from the beginning of our match. I can speak with him about everything that is happening in my life. He will always be that person that supports me with love, kindness, and gives the best advice I could ever ask for. I truly believe that Conor has changed my life for the better. He has inspired me to keep myself in school until I get a college degree and reach my goals as a student and as a scholar athlete."
"Through our decades-long partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Diego County, we’ve seen time and time again the enormous impact that one person and one relationship can have on a child’s mental health and personal trajectory. Jack in the Box is proud to invest in the Bigs and Littles who offer their guidance, support, and friendship to each other, while strengthening the broader San Diego community."
”I was matched with a Little Sister for a year, and it was a fun experience for both of us. It’s great to be a role model, go-to person, or simply have someone to do activities with to keep them away from the streets and teach them the important things in life.”
"Our family continuously supports Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Diego County one-to-one mentoring programs because they deliver results. Every young person needs strong mentors in their lives as they grow up and sadly some great young people don’t have that option. Big Brothers Big Sisters helps to support those wonderful young people by providing a great mentor and helping them to develop into wonderful adults."
