June Observances

June is a month full of awareness events and celebrations that bring our community closer. It’s National Men’s Health Month, a reminder for men to prioritize their health and well-being. We also celebrate Pride Month, honoring and supporting our LGBTQ+ community. On June 19, we observe Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day, which commemorates the end of slavery in the United States in 1865. June is also National Safety Month, a time to focus on preventing accidents and injuries. Finally, Family Health and Fitness Day on June 12, encourages healthy lifestyles for all families. Be on the lookout for local events that support these diverse and meaningful causes!
