Young Professionals Committee San Diego
The Young Professionals Committee (YPC) of Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Diego County (BBBS of SDC) is a diverse group of dedicated professionals who volunteer their time, talent, and energy to support BBBS of SDC’s mentoring programs.
Since its inception in 2004, the YPC has raised well over $500,000 in funds to support BBBS of SDC mentoring programs. These funds are used to help find mentors for hundreds of children who have been on the waiting list for a Big Brother or Big Sister.
This group for young professionals in San Diego plans and hosts fundraising and networking events throughout the year to raise funds and increase awareness for BBBS of SDC. Committee members support logistical needs and promotions for each unique event or campaign to ensure fundraising goals are met.
All YPC members are responsible for holding a position on the YPC Board or sitting on a committee. All members of YPC are also active matchmakers and participate in BBBS of SDC’s monthly donor program.
YPC hosts an annual signature event, “Chocolate & Vino,” as well as regular networking and volunteer opportunities.
