The Young Professionals Committee (YPC) of Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Diego County (BBBS of SDC) is a diverse group of dedicated professionals who volunteer their time, talent, and energy to support BBBS of SDC’s mentoring programs.

Since the inception in 2004, the YPC has raised well over $500,000 in funds to support the mentoring programs at BBBS of SDC. These funds are used to help find mentors for hundreds of children who have been on the waiting list for a Big Brother or Big Sister.

The committee, plans and hosts fundraising and networking events throughout the year, in an effort to raise funds and increase awareness for BBBS of SDC. Committee members support logistical needs and promotions for each unique event or campaign, in order to ensure fundraising goals are met for BBBS of SDC. All members of YPC are responsible for holding a position on the Board of YPC or sitting on a committee led by each Board Member. All members of YPC are also active Match Makers, participating in BBBS of SDC’s monthly donor program.

YPC hosts its annual signature event, “Chocolate & Vino” as well as regular networking and volunteer opportunities.
