The Mesa Foundation and Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Diego County recently hosted a youth basketball camp at San Diego State University, where young mentees (“Littles”) aged 12-17, including 12-year-old Rayvion Fields, trained with their adult mentors (“Bigs”) and the Aztec Basketball Team, fostering dreams, providing access to a new sport, and creating invaluable connections that offer academic, emotional, and social benefits for both youth and mentors.
