IN HER OWN WORDS

“My guiding principles are passion and compassion and I’ve followed them since I was a very young. Gallup’s Strength Assessment test helps you uncover your top 5 strengths, and one of mine is “Belief”, which simply means that my core values and faith guide and direct me to live out my passion, that which I believe in strongly. Because of this belief, I knew from a young age that I wanted to go into the social services field, and nothing would deter me. Also, I believe that those that know me would say I am a big feeler, [okay, my nickname at one time was “Waterworks Rose” :)] and I am moved by compassion to act and care for those around me. Compassion to me, is recognizing that we are all human and deserving of respect and to serve others’ needs with that framework. We all need compassion, and often the hardest compassion to give is self-compassion, as we can be our biggest critics. While I’m a continual work in progress, these are the principles that guide me in all areas of my life.”
